  1.                    INSTALLING LOG-EQF ON WINDOWS 95
  2.                                          ----------
  3. A).  BASIC INSTALLATION:
  4.  
  5.      If you are upgrading Log-EQF, or installing Log-EQF for the first time,
  6.      insert the installation floppy in drive A: or B:.  Click on the
  7.      "MY COMPUTER" icon, and double-click on the A: or B: drive icon.
  8.      Then double-click on "INSTALL.BAT" or "INSTALL".  Follow the directions
  9.      on the screen. Write down the directory you choose for the installation.
  10.      the default is C:\LOG-EQF, but you can change it if desired.

  12. B).  ADDING LOG-EQF TO THE WINDOWS 95 TASKBAR:

  14.      1).  Click on "Start".
  15.      2).  Click on "Settings", "Taskbar...".
  16.      3).  Click on the "Start Menu Programs" folder tab.
  17.      4).  Click on the "Add" button.
  18.      5).  Click on the "Browse..."  button.
  19.      6).  Pick the drive letter from the pull-down "Look In" item at the top
  20.           of the Browse window.  Click on the drive to select it. (You want
  21.           to select the disk drive where Log-EQF is located).
  22.      7).  Double-click on the "LOG-EQF" folder (or whatever name you used for
  23.           the Log-EQF directory when you installed it).
  24.      8).  Double-click on "LOG.BAT" or "LOG".
  25.      9).  The "Create Shortcut" window should appear.  Click on the "Next>"
  26.           button.
  27.      10). The "Select Program Folder" should appear.  Double-click on
  28.           "Programs".
  29.      11). The "Select a Title for the Program" window should appear.  Type
  30.           "Log-EQF V8" or whatever you want to see displayed on your
  31.           Windows 95 Taskbar.
  32.      12). Click on the "Finish" button if it appears, or hit <Enter> if it
  33.           does not appear.
  34.      13). Click on the "OK" button.

  36. C).  CONFIGURING LOG-EQF FOR WINDOWS 95:

  38.      14). Click on "Start".
  39.      15). Click on "Settings", "Taskbar...".
  40.      16). Click on the "Start Menu Programs" folder tab.
  41.      17). Click on the "Advanced" button.
  42.      18). On the right-hand display window, click on "Programs".
  43.      19). Find "Log-EQF V8" (or whatever name you typed in step 11 above),
  44.           and single-click on it's icon.
  45.      20). Click the right mouse button, then click the left mouse button on
  46.           the "Properties" menu item.
  47.      21). Click on the "Program" tab, and check-mark the box for "Close on
  48.           exit". 
  49.      22). Click on the "Change Icon..." button.
  50.      23). Click on the "Browse..." button.
  51.      24). Find the disk directory where Log-EQF was installed, then double-
  52.           click on the Log-EQF.ICO file.
  53.      25). Click on the "OK" button.
  54.      26). Click on the "Screen" tab.  Click on either "Full-screen" or
  55.           "Window" (your preference).  If you click on "Window", I recommend
  56.           also checking the boxes for "Display Toolbar" and "restore Settings
  57.           on Startup".
  58.      27). Click on the "Misc" tab, and CLEAR "Background, Always Suspend".
  59.      28). Click on the "OK" button.
  60.      29). Close all open windows.

  62. D).  STARTING LOG-EQF
  63.  
  64.      To start Log-EQF, click on "Start", "Programs", "Log-EQF V8". If you
  65.      configured the properties so that Log-EQF is displayed in a window
  66.      (step 26 above), you can adjust the appearance of the window using the
  67.      toolbar. The settings you choose will be used the next time you start
  68.      Log-EQF.
